Japanese automaker HONDA and American automaker GM(General Motors) unite to create a new factory in Michigan to mass produce next-generation fuel-cells.

Fuel Cell System Manufacturing, LLC

The new company called, "Fuel Cell System Manufacturing, LLC" will be build inside GM's current battery pack factory in south of Detroit, Michigan state, aiming to start production in 2020.

HONDA and GM united in 2013 to develop next-generation fuel-cell together. Since then, R&D team has been united and worked together, now that they are ready to actually produce the batteries, Honda and GM are ready to produce FCEV in a few years.

ホンダとGMは、2020年頃の実用化に向けた次世代型水素燃料電池システムの量産を行う合弁会社の設立を発表した。この会社が生産する燃料電池システムは、ホンダとGMが今後発売する燃料電池車に搭載される。新会社の名称はFuel Cell System Manufacturing,LLCで、ミシガン州デトロイトの南に位置するブラウンズタウンにあるGMの既存のバッテリーパック生産工場内に設置される。生産開始は2020年頃を予定する。
