HONDA and YAMAHA announced they are under negotiation to start to OEM as early as 2018

Various 50cc models will be shared by HONDA and YAMAHA

The negotiation just started, so nothing is concreate but they are aiming to start their OEM delivery as early as 2018. This collaboration will be only in Japan.

HONDA will deliver some scooter models and business models to YAMAHA and YAMAHA will sell those under their brand. Also, they are hoping to develop new scooters and electric motorcycles together to match the needs of current motorcycle market.
